Bruce Mintz is the founder of the Mintz Law firm. He was raised in Edmonton and obtained his undergraduate degree in arts with a major in psychology and attended law school at the University of Toronto, graduating in 1970. He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in July of 1971. His practice is confined to civil litigation with emphases on construction law, builder’s liens, corporate/commercial litigation, debt collection and personal injury, including motor vehicle collisions and occupier liability cases. He has appeared as trial counsel at all levels of courts in Alberta including the Court of Appeal.
Outside of the practice of law he manages two master soccer teams, a long distance relay team, and is president of the Edmonton Masters Athletics Association. He is an avid track and field competitor having competed in many local, national, and international Master track meets.
In the past, he has served on Law Society of Alberta committees, instructed law students during their bar admission course program, been president of a local gymnastics club and vice president of a local synagogue, and has also done other general and Jewish society work.
